Cyber security graduate now with over a year of penetration testing experience. With a strong technical background in web apps and infrastructure testing I am always open to learning new things. I also enjoy creating home labs to practice my skills.During university, I completed my my honours project where I used machine learning to detect novel malware in portable executable files using PE header features. The project used Convolutional Neural Networks by converting thousands of malicious and benign files into images to train the models. These were compared with conventional ML algorithms and was able to detect unknown malware up to 99% accuracy.
