· Served as the Co-CEO of the joint venture company held between Inter and AC Milan for the management of the stadium.· Successfully negotiated EUR 15M investment by the Comune di Milano for extraordinary maintenance projects over a 4-year period.· Renegotiated the joint venture agreements with AC Milan and Inter.

Responsible for all key strategic initiatives of the club, specifically the development of a new training center, redevelopment of the San Siro Stadium, and the implementation of a club-wide Digital Transformation; including infrastructure solutions for the development of the Inter Media House, Digital Experience Platform, Data Management Platform, CRM; resulting in a single-customer profile that can deliver customized engagement.· Created the Inter Sports Analytics system which managed all sporting systems from player analysis, medical reports, coaching tools, etc. for the entire club from the Youth Sector to the First Team.· Developed plans and delivered opportunity for the purchase of the Piazza D Armi land (10 min walk from San Siro Stadium) which included 30 hectares and 47.000 square meters of development opportunity for the first and youth team training facilities, medical center, sports performance center, club HQ, school, and other amenities.· Managed relations with the Comune di Milano, including working with the Mayor and his administration for development opportunities of the San Siro and a new training center.· Lead a successful capital markets bond issuance using a hybrid project financing with a traditional high- yield corporate bond structure which resulted in the placement of a EUR 300M bond and EUR 50M RCF for the club, with significant improved interest and tax rates.· Developed designs, business plan, budget, and conducted market and consumer analysis and focus groups for a EUR 250M redevelopment plan for San Siro Stadium, increasing the hospitality capacity from 3% of the stadium capacity to 14%, which would increase revenues by EUR 35-45M annually.· Negotiated and managed the execution of a new 5.000 square meter office space lease for the HQ in a new building in Porta Nuova.

· Served as the right-hand person of the President, reporting directly to the President.· Responsible for change-management of the club, including the hiring of CEO, CRO, CCO, CFO, and otherkey members of the senior management team.· Managed the termination and settlement process relating to CEO and the Managing Director of the club.· Served as the gate-way to the President and the Italian media, including the management of PR andCommunication activities of the President.· Created the Italian HoldCo for the holding of the shares of the club.· Successful raising of financing at the HoldCo level of EUR 200M.· Served as ad-interim representative at the Serie A Assembly during the negotiations for the distribution ofTV rights.· Managed relationship with the Head Coach and created a player management department to service theneeds of players and their families.· Oversaw the staff restructuring at the Appiano Training Facility, including the development of a securitydepartment, restructuring of the sports performance analysis, and the hiring of a director of operations forthe facility.· Served as the primary signatory on all contracts and agreements of the club.· Lead representative on behalf of the club and President for the successful sale of the majority shares toSuning Group for a reported value in excess of EUR 600M.

· Responsible for the Finance, HR, Legal, IT, and Stadium Operations departments of the company.· Restructured the club s debt post-acquisition, specifically creating a project financing structure through the creation of a bankruptcy-remote MediaCo, resulting in the raising of EUR 230M of financing withEuropean institutional investors.· Managed all aspects of the debt financing including legal teams, banks, and compliance with all corporategovernance, resulting in the first time ever for this type financing structure being used in European football which was subsequently duplicated by other top European clubs. Participated in all road-shows during the marketing period of the financing.· Responsible for all Investor Relations.· Negotiated and successfully entered into the UEFA FFP Settlement Agreement and managed all relationswith the UEFA Financial Control Body.· Restructured the Finance, HR, Legal and IT departments, hired new staff, implemented new softwaresystems, created cash flow forecasting, cost-accounting budgeting, and created best-practice HR policies.· Managed all compliance with UEFA, FIGC, and other regulatory agencies.· Assisted in player transfer market campaigns.· Reported to the Board of Directors and managed relationships with the Minority Directors and theStatutory Auditors.· Created a procurement department that resulted in significant cost optimization.· Managed the strategic planning and reporting process of the company, resulting in the first time everpositive EBITDA for the club

As the club’s COO, Michael is responsible for the club's business decisions. He guides the organization in development of strategies to implement ownership's vision and is responsible for the financial health and success of the business operations of the team. Michael oversees all areas including communications, business development, sales and marketing, and community relations as well as being a key member in the development and design of the new stadium at Buzzard Point.

Sports Business and Finance Course

Prior to his time at D.C. United, Williamson worked at the U.S. Soccer Federation Foundation as their Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the financial management of the Foundation and monitoring of the Foundation’s $75 million of investments. He also gained extensive experience with Johnson Lambert & Co. in their Audit department. At the public accounting firm his clients represented a wide spectrum of society. Williamson also worked at MBNA America bank for five years.
