Plant Operator- Parkway Compressor Station
CurrentCertified JHSC worker representative • Starting, stopping and monitoring of large jet engine driven natural gas compressor systems that individually develop over 44,000 horsepower.• Operate large diameter pipeline valves and all associated compressor auxiliary equipment such as boilers, air compressors and emergency generators.• Monitor and operate yard and pipeline systems and all auxiliary equipment within the station to ensure equipment is operating as intended.• Provide isolations, blowdowns and loading of natural gas piping systems.• Provide support to the mechanic roles, as required, including the maintenance of large diameterpipeline valves, units, auxiliary equipment and safety systems.• Daily use of company computer and software applications for time entry, updating operations andmaintenance records, etc.• Daily opportunity to demonstrate innovative and critical thinking with the ability to react quickly totroubleshoot mechanical failures, alarms and ensure equipment is safely placed back in operation
