As a Station manager, I wore many hats. My typical day consisted of being the Host of "The Mother Road Morning Show" from 7-9 every weekday. At 9:30 I hosted "Dial-A-Trade", a simulcasted call-in trade show on KVIS and KGLC. By 10, I tried to get out the door and follow sales leads. Helping local business turn our listeners into their customers is very important to me. In the age of internet commerce local business, has a challenge getting the word out about their business. Locally the competition is the business next door or in the next town, in many cases these business are complementary they often times send each other customers. The internet isn't as friendly. In fact until recently they had an unfair advantage by not charging sales tax. Understanding challenges like this make radio invaluable. If I'm not out, I'm busy fixing equipment, training staff, or news gathering. While challenging, local radio is the place to really learn ones field. Since starting here I've created a morning show, a local history segment, announced high school football and basketball, hired staff, rebuilt automation computers, installed satellite receivers, setup automation for national sports and the list of experiences are always growing.After taking over as station manager ,the FM station saw a bigger audience it hasn't had in a while and area business began playing the station over their PA systems. My voice is still recognized around town whenever I visit a business.

I produce video content ranging from weddings to industrials. Duties include scripting, location scouting, designing motion graphics, videography, and editing.

My work on the morning show consisted of me wearing many hats. Some days, I edited video and run the soundboard. On other days, I hit the road and operate the news van for live shots. Other duties: Operating the teleprompter, designing graphics, running DEKO, content research, shooting and editing news stories, transcribing for closed captioning.In August, 2014, I was promoted to full-time.

Over the course of two years, I produced numerous promotional spots for local nonprofits, the campus, and communication department. I was the Creator/News Director/Producer/Writer/reporter for the student produced news program "The Chart Broadcast Edition", I was the videographer for the documentary "If These Walls Could Talk". I shot, animated, and edited the award winning documentary "The Life of Water". I also ran Master Control in the evenings.

Initially my Military Occupation Specialty was classified as 31C- Single Channel Radio Operator/Maintainer but quickly evolved to MOS 31U- Signal Support Systems Specialist. My job consisted of: Installing, operating, and performing preventive maintenance checks and services and unit level maintenance on single channel radios, radio teletypewriters, Army Special Operations communications equipment, and enhanced position locating and reporting system net control stations, and associated equipment. Installing, operating, performed strapping, restrapping, preventive maintenance checks and services and unit level maintenance on communication security devices. I prepared and transmitted messages in a secured communication format. Received, recorded, and processed messages to addressees or distribution sections. Operated and performed preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles. Installed, operated, and performed preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned power generators.As a Sergeant, I directed the installation of radios and antennas. Designed and implemented Signal Operating Instructions. Implemented communication security, Operational security, physical security policies and procedures, and electronic countermeasures and counter-countermeasures.
