I have extensive experience in teaching students with disabilities. I have taught almost all academic subject areas--but I have extensive experience in science. For most of my career, I have also been a technology trainer for the School District of Palm Beach County. I work just as easily with adults as I do with children. I volunteer hundreds of hours each year. Most of my hours are with Compass, the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of the Palm Beaches. I have been a member of Compass' Board of Trustees since 1992 and have served as the Board Treasurer as well as the Board Secretary. I have gained extensive experience in program monitoring and implementation as well as financial monitoring. I have volunteered at Camp Juliena, a "sleep away" camp for children who are deaf or H/H each summer since summer since 1995.In August of 2012 I started training with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TnT) Program. With TnT I have completed: two Disney (Full) Marathons, One Disney (Half) Marathon, the FAU Wellness Triathlon and The Nation's Triathlon. I served as the Team Mentor for the 2014 Disney Marathon Weekend Team as well as the Nation's Triathlon Team. I am currently training for Ironman Miami (October, 2014)
