Western Program Alliance - Wyndham Vale Stabling Stage 1A, Design Co-ordinator (2019 – current)Managed and co-ordinated a design team of over 40 people, across 12 different disciplines, including chairing meetings, guiding the design outcome, and design documentation review prior to issue. The project is worth over $143M (total outturn cost) and is a Greenfields project to relocate the existing VLine stabling yard from the current E-gate facilities in Melbourne.Western Program Alliance - Alliance Construction Phase Services Manager (2017 - 2018)Managed the Construction Phase Services (CPS) team for the $80M Abbotts Road level crossing removal project and $80M Kororoit Creek Road level crossing removal project within the Western Program Alliance. Directly responsible for a $1.73M budget as well as surveillance inspections, and stakeholder liaison. Successful resolution of urgent design-related construction issues by liaising with a full spectrum of design disciplines to drive outcomes. Management and delivery of the as-built drawing production in a record time to ensure the Alliance met the project Practical Completion requirements – a first for the wider Level Crossing Removal Project.

My responsibilities include the successful leadership and quality output of the Engineering team. The team is responsible for developing quotations through to production drawings to enable sales, manufacture and assembly of aviation refuelling equipment. I am a member of the Executive leadership team.Key aspects of the role include:• Design of aviation refuelling equipment (up to $1M per unit) on 2D and 3D CAD software• Development of engineering solutions for aviation refuelling equipment that meet customer, industry, and country requirements including Australian and International Standards• Review and approval of designs prior to release for quotation or production• Liaising with existing and potential customers via written, verbal, or face-to-face means• Providing technical support to an international customer base• Management of a multi-disciplinary Design Engineering team including regular performance reporting for team membersAchievements include:• Successful technical bid for a AUD$47M Department of Defence contract for three aircraft refuelling vehicle types, and support from production through to commissioning.• Standardisation and improvement of multiple engineering team tools and documentation including creating the Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (ESOPs).• Implementation of the Solidworks Product Data Management (PDM) database and data cleansing of the existing CAD library.• Performance management of an individual team member that resulted in termination due to underperformance and recruitment of a replacement design engineer• Obtained approval for the Elevating Work Platform (EWP) used on Refuel International refuelling vehicles under the Australian Standard AS1418.10:2011.

My responsibilities included Project Engineering for General Aviation and Civil Aviation CAPEX projects, as well as the operational control of over 50 Aviation fuel sites and a fleet of mobile vehicles across the South Island.Project Engineering responsibilities include:• Scope and Business Case development• Consent preparation and liaison with local and regional councils• Drawings, Contract and Specification approval from the client point of view• Tendering including evaluation• Risk assessment and HSE responsibilities, including HAZOP participation• Execution (budget and Variation control, schedule management and reporting) • Managing Consultants and Contractors including commissioningOperations Engineering responsibilities include:• Upholding Service level agreement with Contractors, including regular site inspections and training• Technical support for Maintenance Contractors and training delivery• Budget management• Knowledge and compliance with national and local legislation • Requirement to work autonomously and remotely

Managing the Intermediate and Depot level maintenance of the Seasprite Helicopter fleet including liaison with the service provider. Experience with programmed maintenance within SAP.

Management of Squadron projects, including the design and build of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Coordination of the Flight line operations.

Officer training develops written and oral communication, command, management, leadership, international relations, team working skills and stress management in extreme situations. All graduates receive a commission in the RNZAF.
