Directly responsible for a $1.73M budget as well as surveillance inspections, and stakeholder liaison. Successful resolution of urgent design-related construction issues by liaising with a full spectrum of design disciplines to drive outcomes. Management and delivery of the as-built drawing production in a record time to ensure the Alliance met the project Practical Completion requirements – a first for the wider Level Crossing Removal Project.
Engineering Manager
My responsibilities include the successful leadership and quality output of the Engineering team. The team is responsible for developing quotations through to production drawings to enable sales, manufacture and assembly of aviation refuelling equipment. I am a member of the Executive leadership team.Key aspects of the role include:• Design of aviation refuelling equipment (up to $1M per unit) on 2D and 3D CAD software• Development of engineering solutions for aviation refuelling equipment that meet customer, industry, and country requirements including Australian and International Standards• Review and approval of designs prior to release for quotation or production• Liaising with existing and potential customers via written, verbal, or face-to-face means• Providing technical support to an international customer base• Management of a multi-disciplinary Design Engineering team including regular performance reporting for team membersAchievements include:• Successful technical bid for a AUD$47M Department of Defence contract for three aircraft refuelling vehicle types, and support from production through to commissioning.• Standardisation and improvement of multiple engineering team tools and documentation including creating the Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (ESOPs).• Implementation of the Solidworks Product Data Management (PDM) database and data cleansing of the existing CAD library.• Performance management of an individual team member that resulted in termination due to underperformance and recruitment of a replacement design engineer• Obtained approval for the Elevating Work Platform (EWP) used on Refuel International refuelling vehicles under the Australian Standard AS1418.10:2011.
