As an Electronics Technician, I isolate and repair faulty equipment utilizing test equipment, block diagrams and schematics, and hand tools. Performing alignments, calibrations, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on all communications equipment. I also have experience troubleshooting radar equipment, and performing calibration and alignments on gyroscopes. I am personally responsible for SHF and EHF Satellite Communications; Fiber Optics installation and repair; and Work Center Supervisor responsible for ship's communications equipment. I am in charge of 6 technicians who troubleshooting and maintain equipment operating in frequency bands ranging from HF-EHF.
