Tech Stack: Java, Play, Ebean, Postgres, Kafka, Docker Swarm, Vue- Created a routing solution for car inspectors. The microservice generates ideal routes on a daily basis for inspectors to visit a list of dealerships. The solution was built on open source libraries including GraphHopper and OptaPlanner.- Worked on building an integration testing framework. The end result enabled each code commit to be tested in a full-fledged, isolated environment. Its core functions include instantiating EC2 instances, building and running Docker images, setting up databases, executing tests, and generating custom reports.- Improved the performance of several APIs by leveraging denormalized tables and indices. This made for a better user experience; page navigation, searching, and filtering became much faster. By moving much of the heavy lifting to the database, memory utilization on the server saw a significant improvement as well.

Tech Stack: Java, Spring, Kafka, DynamoDB, Aerospike- Worked on a real-time data processing system using Kafka and DynamoDB. The system ingests user data (such as browser cookies) from both internal and external sources. It processes the data in multiple stages and saves it in a key-value store, which is what enables fast lookups during live auctions.- Spearheaded the migration from DynamoDB to Aerospike for better performance.- Improved system performance in multiple ways including enhancing the data compression algorithm and implementing multithreading.
