• Responsible for planning and integrating tactical and strategic communications across 3 theaters and 5 COCOMs.• Advise key leaders on technical capabilities and limitations of satellite and terrestrial communications while planning exercises and deployments.• Design a Linkway Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) network spanning 2 WGS satellites to more efficiently utilize carriers to increase customer throughput while decreasing bandwidth utilization.• Develop and administrate a Microsoft SharePoint portal for the Enterprise SATCOM Gateway - Landstuhl (ESG-L) to manage network and SHF resources and to track ongoing and upcoming missions.• Direct the cut-over for the Regional Hub Node (RHN) facility transition and coordinated with PM Tactical Network to move SATCOM and baseband services to a new SATCOM facility with limited impact to customers.• Manage the Communications Security (COMSEC) program maintaining training for over 300 personnel and ensuring accurate accountability of all COMSEC and Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).• Provide preliminary quality assurance of Gateway Access Requests (GAR) for missions with unique requirements before sending them to US Army Europe (USAREUR) for validation.• Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair/replace critical antenna subsystems and RF components such as high power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers/blocks, modems, MIDAS, and antenna control units on legacy and modern SATCOM antenna.• Trained 5 new team members on-site safety, SOPs, and mission build, access, and tear-down procedures.• Proficient in Cisco Systems Networking equipment including unique mission configurations such as DMVPN tunnels, point to point tunnels, OSPF, RIP, BGP, and VLAN configurations.• Troubleshoot with SATCOM and network customers to isolate satellite connectivity and network faults.• Configure and troubleshoot iDirect, LinkwayS2, MPM-1000, and EBEM modems in accordance with SAA, GAA, and ASA.
