Manufacturing Engineer with experience in Automotive, Consumer and Defence applications. I am used to working in an APQP environment exercising RFQ, PCP, PFMEA & DFMA processes and have applied Lean manufacturing frameworks. I am knowledgeable in high and low volume manufacturing methods and concepts and have a demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and see the solution implemented to a high level of accuracy & quality.As a contractor I have often been commissioned to address immediate issues associated with launch of new programs. This has reinforced skills in identifying and resolving problems to deliver solutions that achieve milestones as well as deliver feedback for lessons learnt in processes and DFA.As a skilled trouble shooter I am comfortable operating in areas that are unknown, developing solutions by aligning engineering principal, benchmarks and available technology with business strategy. I am willing to challenge what’s possible and resist simply accepting what has always been done. I will seek to re-frame old problems by identifying core values & principles and apply them to a new paradigm.In longer assignments I have been able to launch numerous small and high volume NPI programs and make significant contributions to realising business strategies for automation and process technology. I am able to work as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including external stakeholders and am also able to work independently to execute a project plan based on general direction.I have particular skills in Six Sigma Lean Manufacture, Robot/Co-bot automation, Linear Vibration Welding, Ultrasonic Welding and general cellular manufacturing assembly.I also have a good knowledge of PLC systems, Injection Molding & Thermoplastics.CAD skills include Inventor & Solidworks(preferred).
