Chief Executive for Citi's businesses in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Responsibilities included executive business management, client relationship management, franchise governance, and regulatory and government relations. This country cluster is Citi's largest business in Asia, and offers the entire Citi product range. ASEAN is also home to some of Citi's largest regional service centers, with major centers in Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. Citi ASEAN employs more than 35,000 people and serves over five million clients.

All Citi businesses are present in this market, including corporate & investment banking, trade & transaction services, financial markets, private banking, offshore personal banking, commercial banking, consumer banking and credit cards. I also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Citibank Singapore Ltd., our local subsidiary, and chaired the Boards of seven other Citi legal vehicles based in Singapore.

China Guangfa is a national joint stock commercial bank providing corporate and consumer banking products in more that forty cities across China. It operates over 500 branches. I was also a member of the Board of Directors.
