At Liberty Acquisitions I came in to huge lag times and recomended to top management how to fix within the first week we had 30 second load times opposed to 15 minutes. I created manual reports and put many procedures into place to have full accountabilty for everything my department did. I expanded from one employee and myself to 11 employees and three seperate departments within the first month. We grew a little but mostly just had employeees from other areas assigned to me to clean up procedures and productivity. After the first couple of months we started to break all of the companies top records in my department and we documented everything that we did in order for the company to succeed and not just us as individuals. I brought the company from 3 Vendors to over 25 fully utilized vendors and continued to manage them from set up, price negotiations to invoicing. In my time there I took a huge part in configuring the Qlaw system to prevent errors and to manage the data in a much more efficient way.

As the IT manager I came to the casino in project stage and we had a small temporary office accross the street with dial up internet and 5 users. My first mission was of course to get a T1 that I could transfer onsite when the project was completed. I had a hand in everything from there installing all the cable for phone, data and surveillance networks and ordering all equipment for the server room, casheir cage,soft count, marketing clubs and all user offices. I built that server room from scratch with two of my employees and we ended up as the only department that was on time and ready to open on the shceduled date. After the intial build I gained expertise in project managment and continued to support the infastructure. This casino introduced me to SOX 404 and I had to write a compliance plan to adhere to it with our systems. I later became the adminstrator of the SAP financial software and also had to perform compliance throughout the corporate finance department. This job resulted in many years of expierence with Windows server 2003, 2008 r2, Unix, Lynix, Cisco, Barracuda, Citrix, PBX and many other well known systems.

Started out as a slot technician and moved over to IT. As a night time slot tech we had little to no support for our slot system and the only people that even had access to fix issues were usually in bed for the night. I expressed an interest to work on the system to the GM David Zornes and he let me work my way into being a backup for admin at night, I went on to get certified in the Unix based system SDS and he moved me to IT where I was able to learn IT while attending school for networking. This was an ideal situation as the casino had a huge variety of systems to include Windows servers, Unix servers, Cisco routers and firewalls along with 4 network switches to work on and over 100 users to support.
