I spent 4 months working side by side with Hall of Famer and women’s basketball pioneer, Nancy Lieberman. My favorite aspect of the internship was successfully managing from start to finish 3, week-long summer camps for children ages 5-17 with over 150 kids at each camp and over 30 staff members. I performed everyday tasks, such as implementing various marketing techniques to promote all of the Nancy Lieberman Foundation events and managing Nancy Lieberman’s events and busy schedule

Co-Founder of Non-Profit Organization. Chance to Play assists individuals who have been affected by a medical issue by sponsoring participation in athletic camps, competitions and events. In our first year, we successfully sent nine families to seven Richmond Men's Basketball games and two Richmond football games. Now, in our second year, Chance to Play is expanding to the entire Colonial Athletic Association football and basketball programs, and the Atlantic 10 basketball programs. Some of my roles include, customer service for Chance to Play families, partnering and maintaining relationships with other non-profit organizations, organizing the logistics for each event, and the writing of "Wednesday Words of Wisdom" on Chance to Play's website.

Assisted sports agent, Steve Mountain, in many special projects such as identifying candidates for agent recruitment and placing basketball players with foreign pro-basketball teams. Played a huge role in the signing of two professional basketball players. Managed and organized the tournament registration and complete travel arrangements throughout the country for four Team Nelson AAU teams, which is part of the Pete and Jameer Nelson Foundation. Completed various tasks for the Foundation throughout the summer. Was an assistant coach for the Team Nelson 16U AAU Team under head coach Leon Dales of Next Level Skills Academy. Attended the AAU nationals in Orlando, FL with the team. Helped run workout sessions every day for the NBA’s, Jameer Nelson and Cornerstone's other professional basketball clients. Here I had exposure to workout sessions with NBA skills coach and Pure Sweat Basketball's, Drew Hanlen. I also attended and worked many AAU tournaments in the Philadelphia area, including the Reebok Summer Classic.

Went to the warehouse at 6am everyday in the summer not knowing when I would be able to come home. "Can't leave until you finish". A few 18-20 hour days!

Researched items and consulted marketing professionals to determine the market value for each product, positioned the products on the internet to attract potential buyers, and negotiated the selling prices and shipping terms. Dedicated 20 hours per week to operate my business and generated just over $12,500 in sales over a period of 16 weeks. Items sold included a high-end tuna fighting chair, pinball machine, piano, jukebox, vintage Coke machine, shuffle bowling machine, etc.
