Michael was in charge of Huawei's R&D Tools and Test Platform. After successfully building test tools, he started to take over the full development toolchain business, including agile project management, coding, building, testing (test planning, unit test, low-level test, system test and load test), and releasing. He acted as chair of Huawei R&D tool Committee and focused on company-level business strategy planning, commercial tool sourcing & negotiation, and continuous business risk evaluation.As an experienced program manager, he took many key roles in company-level technical innovation projects such as Application Lifecycle Management, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, Huawei SmartPhone software quality improvements, and Huawei cyber security evaluation for UK/Canada. Furthermore, he led a team to build a DevOps platform for Huawei's cloud transformation. This service successfully helped Huawei cloud products grow faster than other vendors. Also, he acted as duty project lead to co-operate with global IT for launching several data centres in China and servicing as internal cloud infrastructure.Michael joined Huawei in 2001 after leaving university. He managed teams globally in San Jose, Dallas, Seattle, Munich and Bangalore.
