This is a position on the CUSew monitoring team which monitors sewage for SARS-CoV-2 to track COVID-19 outbreaks on campus. The primary role of the undergraduate researchers on the CUSew team consists of maintaining and ensuring the operation of the sampling locations. The duties and responsibilities include replacing necessary components such as ice and batteries, recording the daily condition of the stations, and responding to any station errors or maintenance requirements. A secondary role is to preform laboratory tests to record key characteristics, such as pH and the total suspended solids, of the sampled wastewater.
