About Michaela Backiel

I'm an occupational therapist assistant and photographer. I forgot who I was, from where I came from, but have found myself. I found my courage, strength and passion for photography, as well as compassion and blessings. Photography is my passion in life. I've studied photography in Europe and New York, where I have had a few exhibitions. This formed a great basis for me to create images with European style and grace with a touch of New York flair. I shoot romantic portraiture, weddings and candid moments. I have experience photographing Indian, Italian, Greek, Polish, African, Jewish and same sex weddings. The way I approach wedding photography is to create a story just as if it were a book, but through pictures. My goal is to capture the most important images of the day, often influenced by humor.
