I'm a third-year undergraduate student at UC Santa Cruz pursuing a double major in Creative Technologies and Linguistics with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). I am interested in engaging with work in the digital arts and humanities, particularly in application to the study of technology, computational linguistics, and consciousness, as well as the intersection of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) research. I have a background as a visual artist and designer, with expertise in the Adobe Suite, animation, game design, concept art, UI/UX design, motion graphics, and technical proficiencies in Python, CSS and HTML. Working with UCSC Professor of History, Minghui Hu, my role as an undergraduate research assistant pertains to facilitating communications within the “Humanities in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” research cluster and managing the development of machine translation and data-mining engines.
