Michaela Byrd, MPP is a Public Policy Specialist for American Prairie responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders in Washington, DC. In 2022, she graduated from UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs with a Master of Public Policy with an emphasis in environmental and transportation policy. Her capstone, "Designing a Carsharing Pilot Program for Los Angeles", was awarded high honors for her and her colleague's quantitative, qualitative, and geospatial analysis of Los Angeles' carsharing landscape and detailed policy recommendations. Along with her degree, she also received a Data Analytics Certificate.Michaela graduated from San Francisco State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Art in Political Science and a minor in Geography. During her time at SFSU, she was highly involved in the campus community as well as the CSU system.
