Welcomed guests and provided excellent guest service in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant environment. Presented a weekly “Feature Menu” to each table and served food and drinks. Worked alongside Camp Directors to ensure smooth operation and facilitation of summer camp, as well as off-season educational programs and land stewardship. Camp program duties included building and facilitating outdoor education lesson plans, interviewing and training seasonal staff, building and implementing staffing and camp program schedules, building and implementing canoe and backpack expedition itineraries and gear packing lists, and working directly with campers ages 6-17 in an outdoor setting during all 4 seasons. Land stewardship duties included implementing and tending to a 1+ acre organic farm and orchard on the camp property, basic carpentry such as installing insulation, drywall, and laminate flooring, Airbnb unit upkeep, developing and maintaining hiking trails and satellite camp sites, and land beautification.

Worked with students aged 10-17 experiencing drug abuse and/or mental illness. Taught backcountry wilderness skills such as backpacking, fire building, camp set up, and Leave No Trace principles. Worked with students in meeting therapeutic objectives and outcomes determined by their therapist. Provided emotional support and fostered a safe environment physically and emotionally in which students felt comfortable to share openly and develop healthy coping skills.

Assisted college students with climbing wall skills by belaying climbers and teaching belay techniques and climbing safety. Participated in bouldering route setting.

Led five-day wilderness trips throughout the state of Maine for incoming students of Unity College. Activities included yoga and meditation, backpacking, canoeing, and kayaking. Facilitated lessons on Leave No Trace principles, backcountry cooking, water filtration, camp set-up, and canoe and kayak safety and paddle techniques. Planned and packed out trip meals and gear.

Developed and facilitated outdoor education activities for children and adults with disabilities. Activities included tree identification, kayaking, nature-based art, and outdoor cooking. Provided personal care assistance to campers.
