 Assess the unique situations the I/DD community faces and find appropriate supports to needs that arise  Refer DSPs to clients based off of preferences and needs  Train DSPs on ISP goals and specific needs of different individuals in the IDD community  Assure families and clients feel heard and valued  Communicate with county case managers regarding clients to better serve them  Provide resources to those of the IDD community to feel engaged and important in society  Coach DSPs and families in job duties as well as showing love/respect to those in the IDD community  Document conversations and conditions effectively to ensure up to date record keeping

 Assist in developing crucial life skills for adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)  Foster caring and personal conversation and relationship as well as a level of trust and respect with child Promote community engagement and foster community relations  Pinpoint lifestyle changes and differences that come up to assure unique client-centered care  Assure safety of child and self from violence and abuse Take detailed daily notes/write reports (including incident reports and monthly goal reports) on child’s activities/skills worked on, as well as behavioral issues Work on goals indicated in the individual’s ISP
