I am a senior at Curry College receiving a bachelor of science in Community Health and Wellness with a minor in biology and psychology. I have been a consistent recipient of the Curry College deans list honors from 2017 to present. I have also been four year member of the Curry College softball team, captioning the team from my junior to senior year. I am a recipient of Academic Achievement award for having a 3.3 GPA along with being a student athlete from 2017 to present. I have also been a recipient of multiple Curry Curry softball athletic awards such as rookie of the year award, received the Paula martin award, and Most Valuable Player award. During my softball career we participated in team impact where the team gets matched with an applicant who has mental or physical debilities and we bring them into our team environment in order to get exposure which resulted in the participant receiving a sense of involvement, camaraderie and a team "family" atmosphere. I also participated in a psychology practicum where we worked with adults with disabilities and did art therapy. This program had me work with an adult with down syndrome who was non verbal, I not only helped with art but I helped the participant communicate better by building trust so that the participant felt more comfortable. I am hoping to take the skills I have learned over the years and using them to use them in the health field as well as helping adults with disabilities. Using leadership qualities to ensure to do the best work possible to succeed in these fields.
