Initiated and created multisite research protocol from NIH grants continuing a now 20-year study of child development. Write up and submit documentation to Pitt/UPMC Institutional Review Board for project initiation and ongoing approvals and modifications. Responsible for hiring and supervising team of research assistants at research site in Pittsburgh. Responsible for coordinating and leading multisite meetings while also taking and distributing notes to team members - up to three meetings per week depending on project deadlines. Track, sort, clean and compile incoming raw data into meaningful datasets for researchers and collaborators. Write up and review informed consent documents, submit for approval. Train team members to collect informed consent from participants. Create, test and distribute Qualtrics and REDCap surveys to consented participants. Troubleshoot issues arising with multisite research methods and multidisciplinary teams. Periodically provide reports and updates on data collection and project management across research sites. Periodically fill in for principal investigators to run meetings or attend necessary trainings or mandated meetings if their schedules do not allow and report information to them clearly and promptly. Also gained experience with HR tasks such as screening, interviewing, reference checking and onboarding for new hires as well as terminating employees.

Deliver the evidence-based family intervention “the Family Check-Up” to research participants in home or via HIPPA compliant Zoom application. Assess families level of need and aid in empowering clients to identify and access supportive resources using motivational interviewing, family centered solution focused approaches and advocacy when appropriate. Develop treatment goals and plans when continuation of program is desired by client. Tailor treatment services to client checking in with client often to assess utility of resources and services provided. Track and enter all services provided to clients in The Pittsburgh Study – Early Childhood Collaborative database.I volunteered for a 12 month period on the Early Childhood Collaborative Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee with a goal to bring more education and initiatives to our group to better serve marginalized clients and clients from diverse backgrounds different from my own.

Completed assessments in families’ homes for two ongoing longitudinal studies of low SES families. Responsible for obtaining informed consent and closely following standard research protocol to collect survey and observation data from participants. Maintained materials and electronics used for data collection on home visits. Aided in training of new assessors using practice run-throughs and detailed feedback. Collaborated with coordinators to trouble shoot issues with data collection as needed. Responsible for supervising and managing any support staff required to attend visits for collecting data - often undergradated students who had never been on home visits. Completed more than 500 data collection home visits in a 3 year period.
