Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Los Angeles and a previous location in Boston. The gallery focuses on concept-driven work by mid-career artists from across the U.S. and internationally. My role at the gallery covered many areas, including assisting with upcoming exhibition and event preparation, updating the gallery website, art handling, and social media. The role required competency in Google Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. I gained experience migrating to the ArtLogic platform, moving gallery spaces, interacting with artists and clients, and working with a team day to day in a gallery environment. During my time at the gallery, I assisted with Kat Sánchez's solo exhibition, "Mending Joy"; the group show "Vitality" featuring Alison Judd, Andrea Luper, and Elizabeth King Stanton; Alison Croney Moses' solo exhibition, "The Habits of Reframing"; and the preparation for the Spring/Break Art Show in New York featuring Clint Baclawski's "Luray."

Elected position in the student organization, the Graduate Student History of Art & Architecture Association (GSHAAA), at Boston University. The role required planning and operating fundraising events, such as book sales, with a co-coordinator. My responsibilities included communicating with multiple departments, advertising the event, collaborating with other members of GSHAAA, and managing volunteers. In the academic year of 2022-2023 we raised over $2,500.

Under v6 Ventures Limited, I worked as a freelance journalist for one of their online journals: PragueLife! Magazine. This role meant I had to propose topic ideas for each article, have the topic approved, and complete my own research. With a focus on Prague's art and culture, my research often required me to visit sites and events. Every article furthered my development of strong communication skills and audience-friendly writing. During my time working with PragueLife! magazine, I published 20 articles including "Anna Chromý: Sculptures of the Soul;" "Adriena Šimotová: Czech Artist to Know;" "Laura Limbourg’s Gimme A Big Great Smile at the Nova Galerie;" "Why Are Czechs Not Religious?;" and "The 1948 February Coup d’État."

Boogie|Wall was a contemporary art gallery dedicated to exhibiting international women artists. My primary role was updating the website using the Squarespace platform and eventually creating a new website using the ArtLogic platform, where I was the primary employee for migrating the former website to the new website. I became proficient in art databases and website design. Furthermore, I worked in creative roles such as creating newsletters and Viewing Rooms. I assisted with many events, one of which was the 1-54 Contemporary Art Fair, which required the use of Artsy. Due to working internationally and remotely, I advanced my skills in communication and teamwork.

A fast-paced job that required quick decision making, problem-solving, and teamwork. My primary roles were as an usher and in box office. Both positions require a strong team that can work together to complete their tasks quickly. In addition, my roles included general customer service and managing the occasional emergency situation. Many functional skills, such as handling sales, using a POS system, promoting a rewards program, up-selling, and even charity fundraising, were developed during this job.

A creative job that required a passion for sewing and fashion. As an assistant to camp leaders, I worked with children in the age range of 7 to 12 years old in small groups where they learned to design and sew their own clothing. This role required strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Even after my official internship was over, I continued to assist with many one-day events that allowed for further improvement of my creativity and quick decision making.
