Michaela’s health care journey began in Ottawa where she graduated with honors from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. She furthered her education at Algonquin College where she enrolled in the Massage Therapy program. After taking a year off of school to delve into the world of personal training, she returned to school and graduated from Kine-Concept Institute’s Massage Therapy Program in 2007. She began her massage practice in Ottawa and found herself moving to Kingston in 2009.Her passion for health and fitness is apparent through both her drive to help her clientele and personally in her love for weightlifting and nutrition. As a former figure competitor, and mother of three small children, Michaela finds balance in her world and hopes to do the same for you. Her resume as a personal trainer as well as an instructor at the College level, has given her a variety of health care experience that she transfers over to her massage practice today.As a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, Michaela meets all requirements necessary to hold her professional status. Michaela’s foundation of her practice lays within the Swedish massage techniques in which she was trained, as well as Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Hydrotherapy, Deep Tissue Work, PNF Stretching, Cupping therapy, Kinesiology Advanced taping techniques, Fascial work, Joint Mobilization, and Pre- and Postnatal Massage.Whether it be for a specific injury- acute or chronic, sprains, strains, repetitive strain injuries, preventative or relaxation purposes, Michaela will be more than happy to help you reach your health care goals.
