About Michaela Edwards
I have worked in the accountancy profession since 1988 when I commenced my training contract with Bourne & Co; located at the Derby office. I changed position to take up an opportunity with Pannell Kerr Forster in 1989 so as to gain experience of working in a larger firm. There I worked on several very large audit assignments but realised my passion lay with looking after owner managed businesses.I remained at Pannell Kerr Forster until February 1994 when I rejoined Bourne & Co - this time based at their Burton-on-Trent office.The Partners at the time agreed to finance me to study for the prestigious ATII examinations which I took in December 1994 and passed with Distinction - coming in the Top Ten in the country.I received equity partner status in October 2002 and have continued to enjoy my career.I hope to be able to continue to provide a high quality and personal service to my clients for many years to come.Specialties: Member of the CIOT (Chartered Institute of Taxation) providing all aspects of taxation advice.
