Assist in inspections of aircraft operating areas at the Airport for compliance with establishedFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) and City policies and regulations and maintains recordsof inspections as required by the FAA.Assist in inspecting runways, taxiways and ramps for proper and safe operations and initiatesany necessary corrective actions.Assist in the response activities for aircraft emergencies, hazmat spills, bomb threats/hijackings,the removal of disabled aircraft and other related emergencies in accordance with the AirportEmergency Plan and FAR Part 139.Provides escorts in aircraft movement areas as needed.Maintains the HJAIA Safety Management System.Enforces City codes & lease agreements, federal regulations, and departmental guidelines.

Responsible for leading a team to load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto and off of aircraft. Also providing ground support services such as towing aircraft, marshalling aircraft, and cleaning aircraft in a timely and safely manner.

Duties were but not limited to auditing teams to ensure that proper use and action was taken. Presenting and briefing teams on safety rules, protocols for daily use , and emergency protocols.
