About Michaela Hall

I am currently conducting conceptual research into the current nature of the higher education curriculum and it's political influences. I am exploring new curriculum approaches for a socially just educational experience, using the perspective of Marxist feminism.Previous research, for my Masters in Education, focused on the impact of political influence and effects of austerity on informal education, notably youth work. This was guided by the lens of Paulo Freire and informed by a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods.I am a member of the Strathclyde Business School Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Teaching and Learning Cluster Group and an active member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Cluster Reading Group and the Strathclyde Anti-racism Reading Group.
