In my role as Project Manager, I acted as the right hand of the CEO and took on the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations of a local business that over the course of one year, expanded to four other states across the U.S. I trained each of the 3 new staff members hired during 2016, who I directly oversaw and met with each week to outline goals and create timelines to accomplish those goals. My other responsibilities included writing marketing pieces, collaborating with the web design team to design and test new web features, conducting bi-weekly staff meetings and purchasing inventory. My abilities to multitask, stay organized and be able to adapt to change all contributed to my success at this company that was in a constant state of flux.

In this position I was responsible for managing a local childcare service consisting of over 1500 clients and approximately 400 sitters. My daily responsibilities included communicating directly with clients via email and phone to address inquiries and complaints, monitoring sitter performance and correcting when necessary, scheduling appointments and resolving logistical issues in a timely manner, and screening and interviewing potential candidates. I spent a little over one year in this role, strengthening my written and verbal communication skills as well as gaining valuable experience in recruiting. During my time in this position, I contributed to a 20% increase in sales from the year prior by delivering quality customer service and ensuring appointment requests were filled.
