I am an education and mental health professional, and qualified counsellor with over 20 years of employment experience in student-facing roles. I am used to successfully providing a range of one-to-one and group support including helping students and clients to overcome barriers to learning in relation to a broad range of mental health difficulties. I have experience of delivering high quality, flexible and responsive support and have extensive training and experience in a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Transactional Analysis, creative and person-centred therapies.I have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a gift for building relationships and teamwork. This has enabled me to develop and maintain strong relationships with students and clients from a wide variety of backgrounds alongside establishing excellent professional partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. My strength for time management and organisation allows me to manage a busy and complex caseload of students and clients to tight, often competing deadlines. I am also a highly proficient administrator who values the importance of organised administrative processes in supporting the practical aspects of my work.
