Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs, perform EKGs and record information in patients’ charts. Analyze data from cardiac monitoring devices worn by patient for use in diagnosis of cardiovascular disorders.

As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, my role is to observe and interpret heart monitors, perform EKGs, report any changes in heart readings, and update patient records. The Unit Secretary role allows me to perform receptionist tasks, manage patient records and process patient orders.

Perform EKG’s, vitals, specimen collection, IV insertions, lab draws and splints as directed by the attending physician. Transferred patients to rooms. Assist physicians and nurses with physical examinations and treatment.
