Hello! My name is Michaela. I am a graduate of Montana State University, with my M.Arch. I am, above all else, a creative person. I am a maker of things. I am constantly working on projects; either for school, for fun, or for friends. If I need or want something, I prefer to design and build it myself so that it fits my exact needs or to renovate an existing object to fit my tastes.I enjoy designing buildings, drawing plans, and working through the logistics of the building’s environmental impact. I hope to complete my AXP quickly after graduation and to become a licensed architect in the near future. I am an artist. My favorite medium at the moment is watercolor, but I will use nearly anything that will make a mark on paper to get my ideas out. I like to keep my hands busy, so I’m never far from a sketchbook and a pen. If I’m not working on original works, I’m studying other artists’ work to adopt new techniques.I enjoy learning new things and have a fondness of language. I am currently learning American Sign Language through a local non-profit. I very much like reading, and am currently working my way through the classics. My favorite classic so far has been Dracula, I found it very unsettling and it gave me literal chills! You probably aren’t on LinkedIn for book recommendations, but I still suggest reading it if you haven’t yet.I like to spend time with my friends, family and my pets. My friends and I meet for game night every weekend and if we aren’t too busy, we play trivia during the week. Even though my family lives in another town we are still close and meet often for dinners, birthdays, and sporting events. My roommates and I like to hangout with our sweet dogs, Daisy and Scarlett.
