Working closely with the University Senior Executives, I was responsible for event management of the Vice Chancellor's Strategic Planning retreat, coordination of the annual stocktake report on University progress against the plan & associated KPIs and worked closely with the Strategic Marketing & Communications Unit to develop digital and print marketing & promotional material to launch the new strategic plan.

This role involved the management of both the Wellness and Volunteering Student Engagement programs at the University of Wollongong. I coordinated both programs on multiple University campuses from Sydney CBD to the NSW far South Coast. The role involved responsibility for the strategic design, implementation and evaluation of both programs on all campuses, recruitment, training and supervision of a team of 7 staff and over 400 student volunteers. An important part of the role was establishing and maintaining community and supplier relationships in all regions to provide further opportunities for student engagement. This role involved a high level of leadership, event management, stakeholder management, strategic design and digital marketing communications.

A diverse role with high importance placed on time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and multitask. Immaculate presentation, customer service and phone & email etiquette was essential. I assisted multiple departments including Conferencing, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Reservations, Finance and Food & Beverage to deliver outstanding results. This role answered directly to the Hotel General Manager and the Director of Sales & Marketing and had a strong focus on Event Management and Marketing Communications, including Digital Marketing. Skills developed include: Social Media & Digital Marketing strategy, website management, blogging, maintaining Hotel OTA profiles and responding to guest reviews. Taking Conference & Event enquiries, establishing client relationships, preparing and distributing proposals, taking payments and distributing invoices.
