Completed my PhD as part of the Horizon research group and a member of the Mixed Reality Laboratory. My PhD research explored the sociality of DIY music and its impact on the digital creative economy. With an interdisciplinary and user-centred approach to the project, I explored the ways in which ubiquitous collaborative and networking technologies can be further developed to support the work of semi-professional musicians and artists in the digital age.

Cambridge

I led a multi-disciplinary user design and research team to further explore how the latest digital technologies and UI for both mobile and desktop platforms might be further improved to motivate and inspire semi-professional musicians. I conducted a user experience project with an agile development approach to project management, interviewing target users and analysing social media and interview data alongside prototyping for web and mobile design strategy and content, leading research and design team brainstorm sessions and frequently presenting findings to key stakeholders within the wider MSR community.

Duties include developing spreadsheets and statistics for current farming land agreements, amending field maps and processing payments, rural land registry map work, visits to inspect farm land, dealing with phone enquiries and maintaining rapport with farmers and land owners nationwide.

Duties included arranging and teaching Student seminar groups, assessing students through individual presentations, grading Undergraduate module exams.

A comprehensive study exploring the salutogenic approaches to community-based arts and mental health resulting in the publication of a journal article. Duties included rigorous data collection, journal article research and writing. Journal article abstract; "This review article seeks to strengthen the theoretical basis for the use of community-based arts programmes to promote mental health and well-being. This is done by introducing the Salutogenic Model of health promotion and the recovery approach in mental health and applying their relevance to social and political trends in the United Kingdom today. Salutogenesis has much to offer on the theory and practice of health promotion, and in particular arts-based approaches. Mental health outcomes are difficult to define and prescribe for, though community-based arts approaches may help to strengthen individuals and communities. Community-based arts programmes are well placed to meet these various agendas and are able to contribute to meeting the social and identity needs of people with mental health problems."

Within The School of Nursing, University of Nottingham. Working as part of a qualitative research team for a funded research project, my researcher duties included preparing interview schedules and guides, participant recruitment, interviewing participants, feeding back findings to the wider teams and liaising with fellow academics and lecturers
