I was asked to accommodate a higher volume of patients while I received feedback from my team that they were working at maximum capacity. I analyzed tasks, measured productivity, and identified non-valued added work resulting in increased employee engagement.I believe in the value of diverse perspectives. When we reviewed clinical documentation for insurance authorization, everyone had different interpretations of the requirements. I started off with defining the minimal documentation required and ended with alignment.When the baby formula recall effected our inventory, I initiated the effort to track patient needs for specialized infant formulas. Delivering the formula directly to patient homes reinforced my values of patient first.When I onboard new employees, I ask about their learning styles. Creating different training methods such as shadowing, reviewing manuals for standard work, designing checklists and conducting recap sessions is what helped reduced ramp up time.I prioritize regulatory standards set by The Joint Commission and Department of Health with patient satisfaction.
