As the Programs Development Officer I was the regional manager for school holiday programs in Central Queensland, Toowoomba/Darling Downs, and North Brisbane/Sunshine Coast. This involved ensuring the viability and sustainability of the events by training and supporting program directors with program development, budget management, risk management and networking. I also developed and delivered training to hundreds of volunteers across Queensland. I successfully networked with businesses and nonprofit organisations to grow to increase awareness of the value of our programs for children and young people. I also helped to market and promote our holiday programs through the use of various online and print mediums. A highlight of this role the management of the organisation's largest holiday program in the Whitsunday Islands. This included partnership development and management, securing and managing accommodation and travel, leadership development and training, budget management and crisis management. In our largest year, my team and I took 360 people on the adventure of a lifetime!

As a Chaplain my primary role was to provide social, emotional, educational and spiritual support to school to school students. My practice framework included an holistic approach whereby I utilised networks and support systems in the community to support students and their families. I also helped to build a healthy school culture by planing and delivering fun events for students that connected them with their peers, teachers and organisations in the community (such as the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland). I was also responsible for fundraising and promotion of the Chaplaincy service. A highlight of this role was being part of a multi disciplinary team which included the School Health Nurse, the Guidance Officer and the Head of Student Services. By utisilising each other's strengths and networks we could support students in a more meaningful and holistic way.

In my first year out of school I was given a fabulous opportunity to work alongside a Community Engagement Manager as her Communication's Officer. It was here that I learnt marketing and communication skills. My key roles were to assist in the development of communication tools and materials; network with community and Government organisations and local businesses; interview key stakeholders and tell their story through print and online media and to provide administration and event support to the Board of Directors. I was responsible for the management of the Directors conferences which took place in various locations in our catchment area. My role was to manage accommodation and travel, develop and disseminate agendas and meeting minutes. A highlight of this role was imagining and delivering the community soirees that kicked off each conference. This involved the management of the event from start to finish including invites, venue high, catering and promotional displays.
