Financial Specialist
Current• Maintenance, audit, review, and reconciliation of financial records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles and standard Maintains fiscal records by reviewing purchase requisitions, Vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.• Responsible to keep the Department’s general ledger in line which includes monitoring operating transfers, responding immediately to entry correcting’s, and to validate the proper accounting treatments of the general ledger.• Obtain requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizing payments.• Monitor Division annual operating and capital budgets for publications, hunter’s education, conservation education, Information Center, and outreach efforts.• Responsible for coordinating Division contracts, purchase justifications, request for proposals, invitations to bid, purchase orders, reconciliation of budget, and expense reports.• Developed and cultivated relationships across all areas and levels of the Departments utilizing tailored communications to obtain information’s for the Chief of the Department• Self-motivated; Instructor certified to participate in outreach activities for OHV, Hunter Education, Archery, and the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).
