Michaela is a Senior Program Director at Enterprise Community Partners, where she manages the Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge, a $40 million national program. The Breakthrough Challenge aims to identify and advance implementation-ready innovations that transform current practices and reimagine access to affordable housing.Michaela focuses on community development through equitable design and decision-making. She has worked across research, nonprofit, and government sectors on initiatives ranging from rural arts and placemaking to zoning and land use. Passionate about housing, Michaela brings her expertise in designing and leading intentional gatherings that foster community and clarity for action. Her work has taken her to the Rio Grande Valley, rural Appalachia, São Paulo, Brazil, the Mississippi Delta, and many places in between.Michaela holds a master’s degree in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
