Organized and administered all Risk Management Reviews (RMR) for 36 global Outward Bound schools. RMRs focus on Four Risks: Financial, Reputational, Legal and Safety at three levels of the school; governance, managment and operations.

Manage and supervise 50+ member operations team. Bridge across departments to optimize client experience and program delivery. Operational focus on client process and customer service from start to finish with continual post experience engagement. Manage all operations, logistics, safety and risk management teams.- Drive Innovation: lead progressive thinking to scale efficiencies; drive digital and operations innovation in client business development, contracting, scheduling, admissions, safety management, medical screening and course design.- Program Redesign: optimize efficiencies of mission delivery by creating internal structures that effectively serve the organization, stakeholders and clients.- Risk Management: reviewed, revised and implemented comprehensive risk management plan for school; including Emergency Management Plan, Safety Standards, SOPPs, Incident Response System and re-wrote and redesigned Field Policy Manual.- Training and Staff Development: implement training, feedback and development initiatives to promote and foster employee engagement, learning, increased performance and accountability.Open New Markets – co-lead the research and project development team to open new programs in mainland China.- Logistics: Reorganized this department to work as a service sector of operations; implemented reduction in working hours, vehicle movements and in-field drop-offs.- SharePoint: Led school’s transition to Office 365/ SharePoint - data migration, staff training and troubleshooting to track to promote real-time reporting.

- Lead and manage the Oregon Program and Operations; including risk management, logistics, scheduling, budgeting and staffing/ supervision of > 75 Course Directors,Instructors, and Program Managers- Design and implement National and Local Safety Policies and Procedures, including Emergency Action Plan, On Call Plan, Work Accident and Fire Plans.- Responsible for managing incident response and analysis. Under term, the school has had no major life threatening incidents or permanent debilitating injuries.- Advises and provides reports to an independent Safety Committee constituted by external professionals that reports directly to the school's Board of Directors.- Responsible for training and supervision all management, instructional and logistics staff in Oregon.- Responsible for building, tracking, and allocation of over $1 million Oregon Program expense budget- Coordinate contacts and commercial use permits with government agencies such as US Forest Service, BLM, and Oregon State Parks.- Facilitate and provide leadership for staff trainings, briefings, and program expectations

- Responsible for all logistics, management, operations, and staffing in three Pacific Program Areas (Odin Falls, Oregon, High Sierra and Joshua Tree, California).- Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies and procedures to provide an efficient and agile supply chain that optimizes operational efficiency, inventory and stock turns.- Proactively improve the purchasing, receiving, internal control, supplier selection and supplier assessment processes.- Collaborate with department and program directors to establish inventory safety stock levels, reorder amounts and lead times for all materials, equipment and supplies.- Scheduled the logistics for all course activities, such as food ordering, equipment ordering, campground reservations, and all student and staff transportation.-Director of school-wide vehicle training, maintenance, policy adherence, and implementation of National Transportation Standards.-Responsible for hiring, supervising, training, evaluating and managing all logistical staff in the Pacific Region.

• Responsible for educational, safety, and technical aspects of 5 to 78-day expeditions in remote wilderness areas and rivers of Oregon, Idaho, California, and Washington• Staff Trainer for 8 years for Oregon New Staff Participants• Design curriculum and articulate course vision relevant to the unique needs of each student/ group• Facilitated small group dynamics involving cooperation, communication, conflict resolution, goal setting and creative problem solving• Assess the personal development of each individual on a course/ training to help each student draw significant and relevant meaning from his/her OB experience• Taught mountaineering, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, hydrology, navigation, cooking, safety and first aid, minimum impact camping and travel, natural history, environmental education, and compassion• Implemented Alpine Skills Curriculum and Assessment into trainings• Managed difficult backcountry evacuations from remote areas in Idaho and Joshua Tree

· Full time Faculty member at private preparatory boarding school (grades 6- 12)· Directed nine class trips of up to 2 weeks in length with up to 50 students per trip. Courses combined backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, whitewater rafting, kayaking, team building, solos, and service projects· Coordinated and managed all logistical operations for Dunn School Outdoor Education Program· Trained and managed instructional field staff responsible for the delivery of courses· Instrumental in helping the Dunn School become accredited by the Association for Experiential Education (AEE)· Compiled and organized all necessary documentation for the AEE Accreditation Review; designed a 158 page report to assist the review team· Created and implemented instructor evaluation systems as well as administrative/ logistical systems and documents
