With Mad Priest Events, the cultural event side of Mad Priest, we wanted to recognize and celebrate the diverse cultures present in Chattanooga, and connect people across different cultural communities. We want folks to have the chance to experience the world and its beautiful tapestry of food, culture, and tradition, right here in their own backyard.In March 2017, we hosted our first event, "An Evening in India" that quickly sold out, and other events since have focused on Iraq, World Refugee Day, Venezuela, and Scotland. Each event provides an immersive cultural experience that includes learning about cultural rituals, tasting traditional culinary art, and/or hearing new genres of music.

At The Mad Priest, we believe that good drinks open our minds to new possibilities, spark creativity, and bridge people and cultures. After starting Mad Priest Coffee Roasters in 2015, I was looking to expand our brand and open a full coffee shop. Together with Matt Sears (owner of Haskel Sears Design), I have created a concept of a craft coffee and cocktail bar in the heart of downtown Chattanooga that exists to be the best in the beverage industry while working towards a triple bottom line. We hire refugees and other people from the community that may have a hard time getting a job, work with non-profits around the city on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion, and our business is zero waste, 100% compostable, and green-light certified.

India

I assisted in helping several cafes across India (Pune, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam) take root and grow to a sustainable level. Other than building a platform for cafes to experience growth, I created inventory controls, a distribution line for partner cafes and management assistance when requested.

Atlanta, Ga

During my years at REI (On & off totaling about 3.5), I was primarily a sales associate, interacting with customers on a daily basis and attending to the consumers needs. Another core position I took up during my time there was merchandising and inventory of entire stock, which included packing/unpacking, movement of large items and visual abilities for the floor set-up.

Saranac Lake, Ny

Worked as the camp EMT for the summer while also overseeing and managing the camp infirmary for 4-500 kids a week.

Greater Atlanta Area

Worked as an EMT-I at Atlanta's #1 trauma hospital
