Michael focuses on commercial real estate, municipal and corporate law. He represents clients in private and public financing transactions, with special emphasis on various types of commercial and real estate related transactions involving industrial development agencies, urban renewal agencies, local development corporations, land use, zoning and federal, state and local incentives. He also represents developers, lenders and institutional and non-institutional investors in the acquisition, financing, development, construction, renovation, leasing, management and disposition of commercial real estate.

Represent lenders in the financing of multifamily properties through the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting & Servicing program and the Freddie Mac Seller-Servicer program, with an emphasis on Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing (TAH) and Fannie Mae Multifamily Affordable Housing (MAH) transactions. Significant experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds, Section 8 and Housing Assistance Payments Contracts, and a variety of federal and state affordable housing and community development programs. Experienced in counseling financial institutions in secured and unsecured financings, including asset-based loans, revolving lines of credit, letters of credit, and tax-exempt bond issuances to affordable and supportive housing developers.
