I genuinely believe financial advising is in my DNA. My mother is a high school math teacher, and my father is a marriage and men’s counselor. When you consider the combination of mathematics and people skills I inherited from them, financial advising sure seems like a logical outcome. All kidding aside, I am truly passionate about this field. What excites me the most is helping other young professionals develop a financial plan early on in their careers. Having a plan sooner rather than later develops good stewardship habits early on and provides the opportunity for financial flexibility in the future. Flexibility makes it easier to reach one’s goals without having to stress over financial concerns, which is the ultimate goal of financial planning. As a young adult myself, I have recently walked through, and in some cases am currently walking through, many of the same financial decisions other young professionals face. My fresh understanding of these topics enables me to empathize and to provide education on them in a clear, understandable manner. Additionally, for those financial crossroads I have not yet personally encountered or those with a degree of complexity greater than my current expertise, I have the benefit of drawing on the wisdom of my highly professional, knowledgeable, and experienced team members at Sage Advisors. Every time I meet with a client, I am reminded how much I enjoy coming alongside someone as their trusted advisor. My goal is to get to know my clients personally and to thoroughly understand their goals. From there I work to build a long-term plan based on a long-term relationship that will help my client through the financial decisions faced in each of life’s stages. Outside of the office, you are most likely to find me enjoying Seattle’s often-limited sunshine, planning my next trip to Disneyland, line dancing, or rooting for the Colorado Rockies.
