About Michaela Hrdlickova

I leverage my experience in building and leading international teams. I share what has helped me be successful, satisfied, healthy, and balanced in my career so far, how to deal with challenges, and restart a career after leaving the corporate world.I have a career in international business: • In the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, and the field of rare diseases. • In various positions in local, regional, and global teams as Country Director, Central Eastern European Lead for Rare Diseases, Director of Patient Advocacy for Europe+ at Biogen. In the Czech Republic, I launched the first drug for a rare disease and was involved in the establishment of the Academy of Patient Organizations (APO), which improved the position of patients. I am convinced that patients are the true experts on their diseases, and that it is very important for pharmaceutical companies and healthcare systems to work in partnership with them. Thanks to my role in Biogen’s Global Team, I expanded my experience working in international teams based on the principles of diversity. In 2023, I left the corporation and started my own business.I mentor business owners, managers at various levels, employees, and different professional experts.I perceive the topic of age management as important for today's times. I connect companies and candidates aged 55+, and also provide consultations for companies and candidates. My intention is to transfer business experience into healthcare, contribute to positive changes for the benefit of patients and healthcare workers, support patient partnership in healthcare, and promote leadership principles among medical professionals according to the concept of People-Centric Care.I collaborate on projects in the pharma industry: product launches, patient engagement, etc.
