Mike Kramer is a community-oriented commercial real estate, mixed-use, and housing investor and developer in the Bay Area, focused on equitable solutions for local communities, sustainable design and construction, and appropriate risk-adjusted triple-bottom-line returns.Mike is a Managing Director for Sand Hill Property Company, a Palo Alto-based real estate investment and development firm with over $10 billion in development across the Bay Area. He oversees acquisition, development, and asset management across all product types, and serves as portfolio manager with institutional partners and investors. Mike is also Chief Investment Officer of Woodland Park Communities, an affiliate of Sand Hill, operating and developing multifamily communities. WPC owns and manages over 1,800 apartments, duplexes, and single-family homes in Silicon Valley, and is developing over 600 units of mixed-income housing, neighborhood-serving retail, and community and public open space.Previously, Mike was a Project Leader for the Boston Consulting Group, focused on the public sector, financial services, technology, and real estate. Earlier, Mike served the Obama White House in the Office of Management and Budget, focused on economic rescue programs, financial regulation, and housing finance. Mike has prior experience in structured finance at KPMG and investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Mike earned a BS from the University of Illinois, an MS from Stanford, and a dual MBA/MPA from Wharton and Harvard.
