My name is Michael Amato, and I’m a passionate public policy student at the University of Southern California with a strong interest in driving social impact and contributing to meaningful change. My journey is fueled by two desires: a deep commitment to learning and a passion for serving others.At USC, I've immersed myself in a rigorous curriculum that enhances my understanding of policy analysis and equips me with tools to tackle complex societal challenges. I’ve taken on leadership roles as the President of the Public Policy Undergraduates Club and Director of Programming for USC Residential Housing, experiences that have allowed me to collaborate with diverse teams and foster inclusive environments.My professional experiences have shaped my drive for social impact. I’ve had the honor of interning for U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth, working at the intersection of policy and advocacy. I’ve also gained insight into consulting through programs like BCG Launch and as a Consulting Mentee at Deloitte. This blend of policy and consulting experience has heightened my enthusiasm for using my skills to drive positive change in both public and private sectors.I’m excited to further my growth with my upcoming role as an Advisory Intern at KPMG, where I’ll be working with the State and Local Solutions team, helping government entities navigate challenges and enhance services.Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy hiking, exploring new brunch spots, and giving back to the community through service projects. I'm always open to new opportunities and connecting with others who share a passion for public policy, consulting, and making a difference.
