My passion for technology started at an early age, my first memories of using a computer was using Red Hat Linux with my father, since then I have continually improved my skills ranging from hosting websites and services to working on radio equipment with my Amateur Radio license.I began my current leg of my career right after graduating college and moving to the San Antonio area, up until this point I had been a professional sound engineer for 5 and a half years, it was during this time I was able to pickup troubleshooting skills that I use to this day, when operating live sound you sometimes have mere seconds to respond and find a solution, while most jobs do not require this speed it has definitely helped me in the workplace.I started working as a field tech (Customer Engineer II) for NCR after 2 months as a contractorI am currently an IT Analyst II with a focus on developing tools that automate repetitive processes and ensure proper standardization at all levels of the company.I also enjoy hobby programming and have to date have 45 separate projects in my private git server alone, I also enjoy working with hardware and have even designed some circuit boards and had them printed.I have a unique perspective when it comes to projects, I have been in both the position of field tech and writing the software that they use in the field, this has allowed me to not only make documentation that is easy to understand resulting in less helpdesk calls, but also to make software that is robust enough to handle the multiple problems we find in the field.Here is a small selection of my accomplishments • Created standardization software for 1200 computers.• Created Tools for desktop support techs to ensure computers are correctly configured every time.• Created a remote management system that used a RESTful API to manage 1500 computers backed on a Microsoft SQL database.• Built from the ground up an inventory system to handle the unique challenges of the requesting business.• Created scripts to handle manual email migration of over 100 people.• Created Standardization software that normal users can run without IT intervention
