Michael Amidei is the co-owner of Creature & Ghost, a fictional podcast production house, the Producer/Co-host of "This Business Of Music & Poetry", which highlights the lives and work of well-known poets, writers, and rock stars, and "The Michael Amidei Show"; a podcast diary.He is a podcast producer, musician and record producer, author, strategist, and multi-disciplinary creative director with over 5000+ hours of produced podcasts/radio, four books written, countless songs and albums co-written, produced, or released, and fifteen stage productions directed. First entering into the world of podcasts in 2012, Michael produced "World Poetry Open Mic" and acted as a co-host until taking over lead host duties in 2016. For over eight years, WPOM broadcast weekly to a worldwide audience of poets and writers, published anthologies, and hosted live events, attracting attendees from across the US and abroad.As a musician, he has performed on many stages with many acts and has worked with some of the best artists in the world. Spanning across multiple genres, Michael has composed orchestral music and performed opera (he's a tenor) just has he rocked out onstage with incredible bands. His current projects are his solo work, Infinite Grace (a contemporary worship band from Shepherd Of The Hills Church in Centennial, Colorado), Goldcase a rock band in the tradition of The Killers, The Struts, U2, and Robbie Williams and as a member of the world-famous Flying W Wranglers, based out of the Flying W Ranch in Colorado Springs, CO. Michael spent six years teaching music and drama from ages 4-14 with Catholic Schools.Born to a family of musicians, he was immersed in the world of music, art, and stories from a young age. After begin diagnosed with cancer as a ten-year-old boy after a fight with a schoolyard bully resulted in a broken arm, he became the first human to receive biodegradable chemotherapy sponge implants and overcame -1% odds of survival. As a result of his cancer experience, Michael was sent by the Make-A-Wish Foundation to Los Angeles in 1992, where he spent time on set with Star Trek: The Next Generation, Cheers, & Growing Pains, where he saw first-hand creativity as a profession. Watching the writers, directors, producers, camera operators, and actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Patrick Stewart, Kirk Cameron, Lavar Burton, Ted Danson, Kirstie Alley lit a fuse in him that still persists to this day; the desire to use creativity to make the world more beautiful.
