Michael Amin is a Los Angeles businessman, entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Primex World Inc. Michael moved from Iran to the United States when he was seventeen to pursue his undergraduate education. After studying business administration at Pepperdine University, Michael transferred to Cal State Northridge, where he successfully completed his Bachelor of Arts in business.After graduating from university, Michael began his professional career, first by assisting in the management of a 23-unit Los Angeles apartment complex. In 1981, Michael and his family began QuickPix one hour photo chain, which added to Michael’s experience in management, marketing and building a start-up. Over the next ten years, Michael would expand his entrepreneurial pursuits by starting or assisting in the starting of several companies, including Primex Talking Yellow Pages, Top Attorneys Directory, and a product development and marketing company that invented a new product called “Step Up”. Following the purchase of a first pistachio farm, Michael would buy his second pistachio farm in central California and followed this in 2004 by buying a third farm. Michael Amin now owns several pistachio and almond farms, the management of which is led under Primex World Inc. In addition to pistachio and almond farming, Primex World Inc. is active in other investment markets that include the high-end real estate market and diverse equity investments. Michael’s cultural heritage and family have been factors in shaping his business and entrepreneurial career. They have also been vital in instilling in him the importance of giving back and doing good. Over the years, Michael has placed high priority in his charitable endeavors and founded Maximum Difference Foundation (MDF) to better organize his charity efforts. Through Maximum Difference Foundation, Michael is active in motivating parents to learn the art and science of parenting.
