I'm an HR professional with 30 years' active military experience, leading teams as small as 4 up to 780. With a focus on culture, equity, transparency, detail, communication, feedback, trust, honesty, and team, one of my most significant attributes is my ability to effectively communicate and connect with people. This applies whether dealing with internal employees or external customers. More than just words, integrity is paramount to me. I value providing honest feedback and establishing trust to build the best, productive teams. “Take care of people and they will take care of you” is a motto I prefer to live by through action. I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and am currently working on a Masters in Human Resources. Of my 30 years’ military service, 23 were spent in recruiting/talent acquisition at all levels…from Recruiter culminating to Career Field Manager (Chief Executive Officer). My skillsets include recruiting, program manager, budget management, marketing, advertising, personnel management, talent development, sales, trainer, mentor, team builder, business systems, operations management, leadership, research, human resources, benefits and compensation, contracting officer representative, team management, and workforce planning (not all inclusive). In my current position, I support the strategic talent sourcing and workforce planning efforts within the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). I've served military families for decades, and now have the privilege of continuing that honor in serving the roughly 70,000 military dependent students who we provide educational services for on a yearly basis.
