My career has been a journey of continuous growth and service, dedicated to public health and environmental sustainability. As the Director of Development at the California Asthma Collaborative, I am committed to advancing our mission to improve health outcomes and address inequities through education, direct services, and advocacy.Over the years, I have continued to channel my internal drive for inclusivity and belonging into my professional life. I transitioned into roles that combined my business prowess with a profound desire to create a sense of community, leading me toward the nonprofit sector and endeavors that championed inclusivity and equity. At organizations like Black Girls CODE and City Year, Inc., I blended business acumen with a purpose-driven approach. I also played a pivotal role in an executive education program designed to accelerate the inclusion of highly qualified Black leaders in corporate governance.CCAC's diverse expertise in tackling complex public health challenges with innovative solutions, along with our collaborative spirit, deeply aligns with my values of shared purpose and collective action. Working with agencies like the EPA and other health-focused organizations, we aim to build regional capacity and drive sustainable change. Our efforts to reduce environmental impacts and prevent chronic diseases highlight the need for clean air and healthy living environments. I am passionate about ensuring everyone has the right to breathe clean air. Reflecting on my career, I've learned the importance of managing human health and environmental risks. From hyper-growth corporate environments to nonprofit initiatives, my experiences have shaped me into a leader dedicated to inclusivity, community, and resilience. We recognize the interconnectedness between human health, economic growth, energy, transportation, agriculture, industry, and international trade, and incorporate these factors into our environmental policy initiatives, ensuring all parts of society have access to accurate information.
