SurfMonkey - Web-Browser, Portal and Safety Service for Kids.Headed a group of 12 web developers, artists and editorial staff to create this award-winning portal for kids. Now operated by Earthlink in the U.S. and NTT in Japan, the SurfMonkey portal was constantly rated higher than Disney and other major competitors. Designed a directory of kid-friendly sites, search engine, monitored chat rooms, bulletin boards, email and the daily creation of fresh content including multi-player games. Implemented one of the first COPPA-compliant sites conforming with strict new online privacy regulations.

Managed the content creation for this ground-breaking series of Web and CD-ROM titles published in conjunction with partners including Apple Computer, MacUser Magazine and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). The Xpand Xpo was the first CD-ROM filled with paid advertising and the first hybrid CD-ROM/Web publication. In addition to creating hundreds of narrated QuickTime product movies, 3D tradeshow floors and HTML fact sheets, this involved building HTML based directories of thousands of products linked to distributors in over 60 different countries.

Coordinated the distribution, marketing and promotion of video graphics cards and displays in European markets. Localized sales literature, liaised with distributors and local sales teams.

Managed distribution and marketing of various hardware products in the U.K. market including nView LCD panels and Microtek scanners. Localized marketing materials and liaised with U.S. based vendors.

Set-up and ran a successful new training center servicing corporate account clients. Developed and delivered courses on Apple Macintosh-based productivity, desktop publishing and design software.
